Moray Council have proposed changes to a number of polling places across the region following a review.
The changes will result in the addition of a polling place at Moray Sports Centre and changes to polling districts across New Elgin to move voters from Greenwards and New Elgin and Ashgrove Hall, to the new venue.
There will also be a change to the polling district boundaries in Forres to alleviate pressure on the town hall, which may mean the polling place will change.
The polling place at Victoria Hotel will be replaced with Pilmuir Primary’s school hall, with the school remaining open on voting day.
And voters will move from Alves Primary’s school hall to the Alves Hall.
In Lossiemouth, the new polling place will be the community area of the new high school. Some may cast their vote in the town hall to create more capacity.
Residents have until November 19 to comment on the proposals.
