The funeral of a Moray man killed in a horrific crash will be held later this week.
Iain MacDonald died when the Mini he was driving collided with a lorry and burst into flames on the B9016 Buckie to Keith road on Tuesday.
The 29-year-old, who lived in the Buckpool area of Buckie with his fiance Christine Patient, was described by his family as having a “heart of gold”.
In a statement, his mother Rhona and stepfather Gavin Lewis said: “Iain was a much-loved family member with a heart of gold. He will be sorely missed by us all.”
He is also survived by his father Chic, sister Elaine, brother-in-law Andy and stepsons Jake and Taylor.
A celebration of Mr MacDonald’s life will take place at the Fishermen’s Hall, Buckie on Thursday at 1.30pm, thereafter to Buckie West Cemetery.
Friends are requested to dress “as they remember Iain.”
His family have asked for donations in lieu of flowers, which will go to the Teddy Bear Group, Maggies Centres and the Aila Coull Foundation.
Mr MacDonald was driving a grey Mini Cooper S convertible when it collided with a Man recovery lorry about two miles north of Aultmore.
