A dream has come true for a group of young dancers from Elgin who are travelling to Disneyland Paris next month.
Students from the theatre arts school Stagecoach will perform in a parade in front of thousands of international visitors.
The youngsters, who are aged between eight and 16, secured their place in the performance by submitting two audition pieces to Disney.
One of the dancers Erin Bain said: “I’m so happy we were picked.
“To be part of the parade really is a dream come true. I feel really lucky as I’ll get to share the experience with some of my closest friends.”
The school’s principal Amy Mullen said: “It’s such a fantastic opportunity for the students and I’m absolutely thrilled for them. We worked really hard on their audition pieces in class and it paid off.
“I’m sure performing in the parade will be a memory that lasts a lifetime for them.”
Elgin Stagecoach group is part of a network of more than 700 part-time schools throughout the UK.
Past pupils include Jamie Bell, who first came to prominence in the film Billy Elliot and has since gone on to appear in scores of other movies, including the remake of King Kong.
