The casualty was driving a silver Kia Picanto which collided with a silver Vauxhall Meriva about two miles west of Forres at the junction with Dyke. The three occupants of the Meriva escaped uninjured. The crash led to lengthy delays for traffic, adding to existing congestion caused by roadworks on the same stretch of road. A police spokesman said officers received a call at 4.34pm about a two-vehicle collision at the Dyke junction. “It involved a Vauxhall Meriva and a Kia Picanto,” he added. “One person is thought to have a possible leg injury.” An ambulance spokeswoman said: “One female patient has been taken to Dr Gray’s hospital in Elgin.”
