Police hunting for an armed robber who raided a Forres electrical store have renewed their appeal for information.
The man brandished a weapon and threatened a female shop assistant at the Scottish and Southern Energy electrical shop on High Street, before making off with £500 in cash.
The incident happened at about 2.50pm on Friday.
Detective Sergeant Andrew Wilson said: “Officers have been in Forres town centre continuing the investigation into the robbery, but I would urge anyone with information to come forward and speak to the police.
“It seems that the person responsible had been hanging about the area beforehand, so it may be that someone has seen the male in the clothing described.
“He ran off in the direction of Caroline Street, so anyone there at the time may have seen someone acting suspiciously.”
The suspect is described as being 5ft 7in, of stocky build, dark eyes and spoke with a deep Scottish accent.
He had his faced hidden by a dark scarf and hat. He was wearing a dark blue or grey jacket with a light colour, black trousers and black shoes.
The shop assistant was left unhurt but shaken by the robbery.
Police have stepped up their patrols in the area, but are urging anyone with information to call 101.
