The recent Hopeman harbour gala day raised almost £2,300 for local charities and the dredging fund.
Organisers have added up their fundraising total after almost 2,000 people flocked to the event, held in the picturesque Moray fishing village last month.
Attractions included taster sessions on dinghies, paddle boards and fast RIB boats and a fishing competition.
Youngsters could play at being a firefighter with Gordonstoun fire service, and Buckie lifeboat crew provided tours around the harbour.
Pipers from Gordonstoun marched and played for the crowds, while Dan Ralph’s floating bandstand kept everyone entertained.
Chairman of the Hopeman Boatowner’s Association, Barry Croshaw, said the day could not have gone better.
He said: “We are all delighted at the result. The hard work of the small event group, led by Nigel Gunter, managed to pull off a great day out for all the family.
“The fact we’ve raised so much from very generous crowds and trade stands is a real bonus. We’ll have to do it again next year.”
The £2,288 raised will be divided equally between the Lossiemouth-based Ladybird Children’s Charity, the RNLI and the Hopeman Boatowner’s Association fund.
Gordonstoun principal Simon Reid said “I am delighted that the school is able to play a part in organising the event. Gordonstoun has a long association with Hopeman harbour, and we want to do all we can to see it thrive”.
