The man came into trouble at Buckpool beach, near Buckie, following which the town’s lifeboat was sent out at 1.45pm. An Aberdeen Coastguard spokesman said: “We had a report of a person in difficulty in the water off of Buckpool, just west of Buckie. “The call was a 999 call, a member of the public became a bit concerned when they saw this person in the water. “The lifeboat from Buckie went, we located the casualty about 100m off the shore. The lifeboat just took him on board. “He’s being seen to by the paramedics now.” A police spokeswoman said they had “been made aware”, adding that there had been “concerns for the male”.
