Police are investigating after a motorbike and a quad bike were stolen from the Silversands caravan park in Moray.
Agricultural and electrical tools were also taken in the break-in, which happened over the weekend at the site near Lossiemouth.
It is believed thieves struck between 5.30pm on Saturday and 8.30am the following morning.
A spokesman for the caravan site said: “Whoever did this must have known what they were after.
“They targeted only a few specific items and left many others.
“That suggests that the person or people responsible had been on the site before and had seen what was available.”
The thieves gained entry to the site by using bolt cutters to snap the hefty lock at the entrance before targeting a workshop in the yard.
The Silversands spokesman added CCTV cameras had installed since the weekend.
He said: “You could say it’s a classic case of closing the stable door after the horse has bolted, but we are determined that this is not going to happen again.
“We have our suspicions about who is responsible for the break-in and are now helping the police to investigate the matter. If anybody has any relevant information we’d ask them to pass it on to the police.”
A police spokeswoman estimated the total value of the stolen goods to be a “high-four figure sum”.
The spokeswoman said: “Officers in Lossiemouth are appealing for information following the theft of various items including a motorcycle and quad bike from a business premises at a caravan site in the area.”
