Farm machinery on fire at Keith premises

Fire crews were called to a farm at Keith this morning following reports that a piece of machinery was on fire.

One appliance from Fochabers attended the private property, near the River Isla, just before 9am.

A spokesman for the Scottish Fire & Rescue Service said that a telescopic handler – a machine that works like a crane – had caught fire.

“The stop message came back just before 10am,” he added.

“Fire fighters are now dampening the equipment down.”
