A visitor attraction survey will be carried out at one of Moray’s most popular woodland areas.
Forestry Commission Scotland will conduct the study at the Culbin Forest, which includes extensive trails through mossy glades and shifting sand dunes.
Visitors can climb to the top of Hill 99 and get stunning views along the Moray Firth coastline, or spot seals and dolphins on the Buckie Loch beach.
Doug Collins, Forestry Commission Scotland community and recreation officer for Culbin, said: “The forest is a really popular Moray destination for walkers, cyclists and horse riders and we’d like to hear from local people and visitors about what they think we could do to make it a better experience.
“We’re aiming to identify ways in which we can make the forest more accessible and enjoyable for as wide a range of people as possible, and how we can improve the information we provide about it.”
The survey will take place in August and September and will include face-to-face at various entry points to the forest as well as at locations in Nairn and Forres.
