Scores of motoring enthusiasts descended on Brodie Castle yesterday to admire a huge range of rare cars, motorbikes and trucks.
Despite the wet weather, motorists set off from Ballindalloch Castle in Banffshire to Forres to show off their prized vehicles for the 38th annual Historic Wheels Club rally.
Visitors had the chance to view the rare cars up close, speak to owners and admire some of the most classic models, such as Bentley and Rolls Royce and sportier models including Morgans and Ferrari.
There were also 40 motorbikes dating from 1914 to the present day, including the Honda Goldwing set.
On the more unusual side was the three wheeled Philip Pratt trucks and a Piaggio three wheeled panelled van.
There was also a Commer fire engine from 1975 and a Morris Minor Van from 1972.
Rally secretary Barrie Wallace said: “It was a good day, despite the weather.
“There were 200 entrants a few people dropped out because of the weather.”
Over the last four years, the rally has raised more than £20,000 for good causes and organisers are now counting up this year’s tally before deciding which charities will benefit.
This year’s main winners were:
Classic prize for vintage veteran motorcycles: Gordon Williamson, from Duffus
Royal Bank Cup for Outstanding Entry: I Fisken, from Forfar for his 1958 Bentley S1 Continental
Bank of Scotland Trophy for Best Overall: T McWhirter, from Elgin, for his 1960 Jensen 541R
Best ladies entry: Maria Miele, from Forres, for her Austin Healey 3000MKIII
