A popular bike trail in Moray is opening a new attraction.
Bosses at BikeGlenlivet are adding a “pump track” to the site.
The mini loop will offer a warm-up for riders before they head out on the longer trails.
Sited next to the Coffee Still Cafe, it will feature numerous jumps, bumps and banked corners designed to help people hone their skills.
The trail in the Carn Daimh forest, near Tomintoul, has already attracted 10,000 visitors since it opened last year and it is hoped the new track will boost numbers further.
Work is expected to begin in late September and the aim is for it to be completed by early October in time for the school holidays.
Tomintoul and Glenlivet local development officer Lindsay Robertson said: “The pump track adds to what we can offer on site as a family friendly facility, its a valuable addition and gives us lots of opportunities for the future.”
