A Celtic fan who was thrown off a supporters bus more than 100 miles from home was fined £300 yesterday for breaching the peace.
Alan Watson, who earns more than £40,000 a year offshore, was dumped in Dunkeld’s High Street where he staggered into traffic and urinated in the street.
Watson, 38, was on his way back to his Moray home after watching Celtic’s 6-1 win over Dundee United when he fell out with the other passengers on the bus.
Fiscal depute Rebecca Kynaston told Perth Sheriff Court: “A shopkeeper became aware of a male being ejected from a Celtic FC supporters bus. He was arguing with persons on the bus.
“He was very drunk and loud. He was refusing to get back on the bus and eventually it left without him. He was seen to step into a side street and urinate.
“As a result of his demeanour the shop owner decided to call police. The accused began to shout at people across the street. They could not make out what he was saying.
“He was seen to be standing in the High Street and it was obvious he was heavily intoxicated. He was taken to the police station, but was unfit to be charged due to his state of intoxication.”
Watson, of Central Avenue, Forres, admitted conducting himself in a disorderly manner and shouting and swearing in Dunkeld on August 16.
He also admitted staggering into the road in the face of oncoming vehicles, urinating in a public place and committing a breach of the peace.
Solicitor Billy Somerville, defending, said: “He has absolutely no recollection. He had been at a match and was travelling back home. He can’t explain why he was so drunk.”
