A man was taken to hospital at the weekend following a “disturbance” in Elgin.
The incident happened on land near New Elgin Road, and the casualty was taken to Dr Gray’s Hospital.
It is understood the incident involved a knife. A police spokesman appealed for anyone with any information to come forward as officers investigate what happened.
“We are making inquiries into the circumstances surrounding a disturbance near to New Elgin Road,” he said.
“The incident resulted in a male being conveyed to Dr Gray’s Hospital for treatment for the injuries he sustained during the incident.
“The injuries have been assessed to be non-life threatening.
“Police Scotland are appealing to members of the public who may have seen something or been in the area to contact the force on 101.”
The incident happened on Saturday night.
