Hundreds of people turned out to meet Her Majesty The Queen and His Royal Highness The Duke of Edinburgh when they arrived at Elgin Train Station this morning.
The crowds cheered and waved United Jacks as the royal couple made their way onto the platform and were greeted by Lieutenant Colonel Grenville Johnston, Her Majesty’s Lord Lieutenant of Morag as well as convener of Morag Council, Stewart Crew and councillor Allan Wright, former leader of the council.
Piper major Ryan Anderson played Atholl Highlanders while The Queen received posies from two of the youngest members of the crowd, Alfie Roberton of Burghead and Sienna Lee of Raf Lossiemouth.
The Queen and the Duke will also visit RAF Lossiemouth and Kinloss Barracks.
