A cyclist who suffered serious injuries in a crash with a lorry near Buckie earlier today has been transferred to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary.
The man, in his 60s, is believed to have suffered head injuries.
He was originally taken to Dr Gray’s Hospital in Elgin, but has now been moved to ARI.
The accident, involving an orange DAF lorry, happened at 9.20am on the A98 Tynet to Lintmill road at Buckie.
Sergeant David Pirie appealed for witnesses to come forward, and said: “Inquiries into the circumstances of the collision are continuing and I am appealing to anyone who may have seen the incident or saw the lorry or the cyclist prior to the collision to come forward.”
The road is closed between the High Street junction with the A98 in Buckie and the March Road junction to allow collision inspectors to examine the scene.
Diversions are in place.
