Here we take a look at some of the latest standout planning applications submitted to and determined by Moray Council.
There are plans to turn a cottage into a commercial and educational building and the proposed transformation of farmland into a camper van site.
Planners have also approved the erection of a balcony at a Forres home and a change of house type at Kinloss golf course.
Educational building
A former cottage could be turned into a commercial and educational building.
Harry Taylor and Company is representing Sir Alastair Gordon Cumming in the application for the changes to the Pond cottage on Blairs Home Farm within Altyre Estate near Forres.
Work proposed includes a extension of the house and some demolition work.
Camper van touring site
An application has been submitted to transform agricultural land into a camper van touring site with infrastructure.
John Wink Design is representing Andrew Duffus in the application for the change of use of land at Mains Of Auchriachan Farm, Tomintoul.
Owners believe the campervan site is needed to support local businesses and prevent Cairngorm National Park from being overrun by campervans.
In a planning statement, bosses said: “The all-year round site will be a place for campervans, not towing caravans or static caravans.
“Offering night stays, in a safe and private site.
“All campervans on site will be self-sufficient, there will be no connections to
power or water supplied on site.
“Allowing this development to go ahead will support the local businesses in the area and keep the Cairngorm National Park from being ‘littered’ with campervans parked up wherever possible for the night.”
In the past week, Moray Council has also determined some applications.
Planners have also approved the erection of a balcony at a Forres home and a change of house type at Kinloss golf course.
In Forres, the erection of a balcony at a rear of a house was approved by planning chiefs.
Gordon MacDonald had submitted the planning application at the two bedroom Cherrybank cottage at Balnageith,
At Kinloss County Golf Club, a type of house will be changed and an ancillary building will be built.
This comes after an application submitted by DX2 Consultancy Limited on behalf of Dave and Lesley Hanson for plot 14 was given the green light.
The golf course is currently under construction and a major development is being
carried out on the land for dwellings and holiday lodges.
In March, golf bosses submitted plans to turn their clubhouse into a house amid security concerns.
