A 41-year old man has been arrested by police in connection with two recent robberies in the Buckie area.
The man has been charged with robbing a 79-year-old man on December 6 and robbing a 77-year-old woman on December 11.
The man has also been charged with breaking into a house in Strathlene in November and stealing property.
A report will be submitted to the procurator fiscal and the man is expected to appear at Elgin Sheriff Court on Monday.
Detective Constable Phil Wu, who is based in Elgin, said: “I would like to thank the public for their help with these inquiries. Buckie is generally a safe place to live and work and I would like to reassure the local community that this type of crime is a rare occurrence.”
