Fire crews worked through the night to save a historic Moray house.
The alarm was raised at Ross House, near Garmouth, on Friday night.
Four crews from Fochabers, Elgin, Huntly and Keith were at the property for more than seven hours on Friday night.
The property has been abandoned since 2016, and was later condemned following a flood.
Now the fire has completely destroyed the roof.
The fire service received a call at 9.20pm. Police also attended at the scene.
Roof destroyed
A witness at the scene said: “By 10pm most of the roof was ablaze and falling in.”
Photos from the next day show the roof has been completely destroyed.
The last fire crew left the house at 5.12am.
Later on Saturday, the fire service confirmed another crew visited the house to carry out an inspection of the damage.
They were “dampening down some hot spots that were there”.
She said: “Two main jets and one light portable pump were used by crews on the scene.
“It has now been left in the hands of Police Scotland.”
Police inquiries ongoing
A police spokesman said: “Officers remained at the scene overnight and inquiries are ongoing.”
Ross House is located on the banks of the River Spey.
The derelict house was condemned due to the flooding after its foundations were undermined.
