The A82 will be shut overnight because of resurfacing works
A road in Elgin has been closed by police after two cars collided this morning.
The accident happened shortly after 11.30am on Oldmills Road when one of the vehicles involved slid on the ice and crashed into the other vehicle.
Police are now on the scene, however, the road is so icy that they are having difficulty walking across it so the decision has been made to close the road until gritting lorries have attended the scene and the police are happy that it is safe for vehicles to travel on.
Diversions will be put in place shortly and we will bring details of them as soon as possible.
