Moray Council’s libraries service is offering free ICT courses commencing the week beginning January 26.
The sessions, offered in partnership with Citizens Online, are designed for those who have never used a computer or who lack the confidence to use the internet.
Lessons will run on various days at the Elgin, Buckie, Forres and Lossiemouth libraries. Places are free, but must be pre-booked.
Meanwhile, the Job Club at Elgin library is looking to recruit more volunteers.
The scheme gives people the chance to meet others who are looking for work, build new contacts, share job-hunting experiences and get advice on applications, CVs and potential volunteering opportunities.
Research shows the best way to find another job is through friends, family or social networks such as job clubs.
A library spokesman said: “During every session we help people to look for work by swapping ideas, creating CVs, assisting with applications and building confidence.
“We are still looking for more volunteers to staff the job club and we would encourage anyone who is interested to get in touch.”
The club meets at Elgin library every Thursday from 10am to 4pm and volunteers are needed for both the morning and afternoon sessions.
More information is available by calling the library on 01343 562603.
