And there are plans for an extension to a Forres flat.
Read on for more details.
APPROVED: From fisherman tales to planning windfarms
A former museum will be turned into an office for a windfarm firm.
The Buckie Drifter Maritime Heritage Centre, on the town’s Freuchny Road, has lain empty for 17 years.
It opened in 1994, telling the story of the fishing communities along the coast of the Moray Firth and the importance of the herring industry.
The Drifter closed its doors in 2005 following rising costs and dwindling visitor numbers.
The new purpose comes after an application for the change of use of the building submitted by Corstorphine + Wright on behalf of Moray West Offshore Windfarm Limited was approved.

This office will provide space for the company’s construction team.

The business park is over 50 acres and offers the opportunity for occupiers to expand their existing business or establish a new base in the area.
DECIDED: Oxygen storage tank
A new large oxygen storage tank will be built at Dr Gray’s Hospital.
The tank will replace the existing one to increase their oxygen storage capacity on site to meet future needs and demands.
The new oxygen tank will sit within a fenced compound to the south west of the hospital.
Arch Henderson represented NHS Grampian in the application.
In a planning statement, they said: “The overall impact of the change will be minimal to the surrounding residential streets.
“It will sit in the same location as the existing within the compound. The tank will be white and may also have similar annotation as the existing tank.”

The distillery was built to ensure a steady supply of whisky for Chivas’ blended products.
