Plans for a £10million expansion of a Moray village have been unveiled.
Fifty new homes and a grocery shop could be built in Fochabers as part of two separate projects.
Bob Milton Properties Ltd will lodge the proposals with Moray Council in the coming weeks.
The Fochabers-based developer wants to build a complex of 50 houses at a site in Ordiequish Road, which will be named Brooklands if given planning consent.
The firm also plan to redevelop their Spey Energy building on the village high street into a mixed-use premises.
The site, to be christened Carriage House, will contain a new Co-op store more than twice the size of the village’s existing branch, and eight apartments.
Bob Milton said he hoped the plans would attract more people to the area, which he described as one of the “most desirable places” to live in Moray.
He said: “Fochabers is well known as one of the most desirable places to live in Moray with its mild micro-style climate, historic schools and central commute location between Aberdeen and Inverness.”
The new grocery store will continue to incorporate the village post office.
Lennox Community Council are awaiting the details of the planning application before commenting on the scheme.
