Three fire units, police and ambulance teams were called to the fatal blaze in Lhanbryde at 7.25am. By 8.02am the Robertson Road fire was under control, but police have confirmed that an elderly woman has died. A police spokeswoman said: “We can confirm that a woman in her eighties has died following a fire in Lhanbryde. “Police and fire teams are now carrying out a joint investigation into this incident. “Next of kin are still to be informed.”
