A man is due in court on Monday following a fire in Elgin.
The incident occurred at 1.40am on Wednesday, October 26 at a residential property on North Street in the Bishopmill area of Elgin.
Police and emergency services were called to the scene and had extinguished the fire by 5am.
The fire caused damage to a section of the roof and to the inside of an enclosed refuse area as well as the rolling shutter. They later confirmed it was being treated as suspicious.
Officers have now charged a 38-year-old man with willful fire-raising.
