A new online resource has been launched to help people in Moray struggling with the rising cost of living.
Moray Council’s cost of living hub outlines the help and guidance available to people across the region this winter.
It covers energy saving, benefits eligibility, business support and financial advice, as well as directing those who are struggling towards mental health support.
The council has described it as a “one-stop shop” – with its services listed along with national helplines and expert tips.
Deputy chief executive Denise Whitworth added: “No one is immune to the rising costs and uncertainty we face this winter and beyond, which can feel overwhelming, and these services are there for anyone and everyone who needs them.
“There’s a lot of support and advice available for anyone struggling with the rising cost of living and this hub will make it easier for residents to access.”
What kind of support is available?
People across the north and north-east face rising fuel costs, increasing food prices and skyrocketing energy bills.
As well as setting up the cost of living hub, Moray Council is also making people aware of a number of “warm welcome” locations across the region.
These are council facilities which are opening their doors for locals, offering them a quiet space to read, a social space for a chat, or somewhere warm for a chat with an advisor.
Moray Food Plus also runs a number of facilities including financial advice sessions and a foodbank to help the people of Moray get the support they need.
