A lorry fire broke out on the A96 Elgin to Inverness road in Moray this morning, with the route being closed as a result.
It happened at Alexandra Road in Elgin town centre just after 10am this morning, with the fire service being alerted to the incident at 10.07am.
Three minutes later, police were called to assist, with the fire being put out by one appliance. The fire service left the scene at 10.43am.
The road was closed for about half an hour while recovery was arranged, with diversions being put in place.
A police spokeswoman said: “Around 10.10am on Wednesday November 9 officers were called to assist the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service with traffic management after receiving a report of a lorry on fire on Alexandra Road, Elgin.”
