Firefighters spend the night tacking Moray distillery blaze

Firefighters have spent the night tackling a blaze at a Moray distillery.
Three crews are still on scene at the Burghead Maltings, Burghead, where the on-going fire is said to be contained within a maltkiln.
Fire teams swapped shifts at the site every five to six hours last night as they tackled the fire, which broke out last night.
The kiln is said to house 60 tonnes of malt.
A fire and rescue spokeswoman said: “There’s an on-going fire in Burghead. We’re had a message back two or three hours, it is just a slow process of moving the products. They were moving the grain.
“It is just taking a long, long time, it has been a long night. There is nothing particularly major going on there. By sounds of it contained to this kiln, it is confined to where it is.
“We have had a bit of everyone at that overnight. The most we have had is four crews plus special (units) but every four to six hours we swapped them.”
Nobody was hurt during the blaze.
