Hundreds have packed Elgin High Street to celebrate the beginning of the town’s festive season.
The big Christmas lights switch-on was the first in the community for three years due to the impact of the Covid pandemic.
And locals turned out in force through the day for a packed programme of events organised by Elgin Bid.
The Lossiemouth Military Wives Choir began the day at 10am before other performances through the day from Moray Concert Brass and Elgin Musical Theatre.
The reindeer parade drew a crowd as youngsters were eager to get close to Santa’s helpers.
However, the biggest crowds of the day were for the big switch-on of Elgin’s Christmas lights.
