The 23-year-old man who died in a crash near Nairn yesterday has been named by police as Callum Ewen from Fochabers.
He died following the crash on the B9101 between Cawdor and Auldearn at Bognafuaran, close to its junction with the A939, at around 7.30am.
Police closed the road for more than eight hours while emergency services attended the scene, with the road reopening at 4pm.
His family have asked for their privacy to be respected at this time.
Road policing sergeant, Chris Donaldson said: “Our thoughts remain with Callum’s family at a very difficult time.
“Enquiries are still ongoing to establish the full circumstances of what happened and I would again appeal to anyone who may have information about it to please get in touch with us, quoting incident number 0492 of November 25, 2022.”
