Moray youngsters will put on their dancing shoes for a showcase of different moves tomorrow.
More than 120 primary two pupils from across Elgin will gather at the town hall for a dance and movement display organised by the Active Schools fitness group.
The children, from schools across Elgin, will show off the routines that they have learned over six weeks of coaching from various local clubs.
The aim of the event is to encourage children to become more active by joining clubs in the area, and participating groups included Rock Academy Performing Acts, Moray Dance and the Zara Mortimer School of Dance.
This is the fifth annual Elgin Active Schools display.
Active Schools coordinator Roy McPherson said: “We are delighted to have organised this display which has now become an annual event.
“The coaches have been working hard with the classes and we believe the sessions have had a positive impact on the coordination and confidence of everyone involved.
“We hope that as a result of the project the local clubs involved will see an increase in junior membership.”
In addition to youngsters practising their footwork on the dance floor, some of the town’s pupils have been karate kicking their way through martial arts lessons.
There will be a display of the self-defence skills youngsters have been taught by Elgin’s Kaizen Martial Arts instructors.
Parents have also been invited to come and watch the display and a crowd of 300 is anticipated.
The display will begin at 5pm and doors open at 4.15pm.
