Police investigating a raid on a Buckie workshop have renewed their appeal for information.
About £7,000 worth of electrical items and tools were stolen from Moray Metals Ltd when it was raided last week, including a Kemppi Evo 200 mig welder and a Honda 13hp welder-generator were stolen.
Thieves targeted the business, in the March Road East area, between 2pm on Monday, March 16 and 9am on Wednesday, March 18.
Business owner Adam Desmier previously said he believed the raid had been highly planned.
He thought thieves may have entered the building through the rooftop window after traces of plasterboard were found on the floor and footprints and loose screws were found on the roof.
The 35-year-old said: “When I got to the workshop, I looked at my cameras and noticed they were bent up into the sky, but the door was locked and the shutter was down.
“It all looked normal. When I turned the key to open the workshop up, I was stood there in total shock. There was nothing there. They’d taken everything.
“They knew what they wanted, and, obviously, there had to have been more than one person. The Honda generator is a beast. It would have taken at least two people with a van involved.”
Constable Kevin Buchanan, who is investigating the crime, said: “I would urge anyone with information regarding this theft to come forward.
“I would also appeal to anyone who has been offered any items for sale, and who thinks it may be related to this theft, to contact police.”
Anyone with information regarding the theft is urged should call 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
