More than 30 were called to the incident on the terraced house on St Andrew’s Road in Lhanbryde at around 10pm last night. They sent four appliances from Elgin, Lossiemouth and Fochabers to tackle the blaze. A Specialist Instinct Unit has also been sent from Altens to the scene. Police assisted them in setting up road blocks and an ambulance crew were called. A fire service spokesman could not confirm if anyone was home at the time of the blaze tonight. He said: “We received the call at 21.57 and sent 33 firefighters all together. “We asked an ambulance to attend as part of the usual protocol due to the number of appliances involved. “We have had no indication of anyone in the property.”
