More than 30 crew were called to the incident on the terraced house on St Andrew’s Road in Lhanbryde at around 10pm last night. Fire chiefs sent four appliances from Elgin, Lossiemouth and Fochabers to tackle the blaze. A specialist incident unit has also been sent from Altens, Aberdeen to the scene. Firefighters spent around two hours tackling the fire, which was extinguished by about 12.34 am. Police assisted them in setting up road blocks and an ambulance crew were called. A fire service spokeswoman said there were no reports of any causalities as a result. He said: “We received the call at 21.57 and sent 33 firefighters all together. “We asked an ambulance to attend as part of the usual protocol due to the number of appliances involved. “We have had no indication of anyone in the property and there have been no reports of any casualties. “The building was well alight when we arrived so there will be extensive damage to the property.”
