A Moray woman on a mission to raise funds towards curing Motor Neurone Disease (MND) added to her tally with an Easter extravaganza at the weekend.
Lucy Lintott, 20, from Garmouth, was diagnosed with the condition 18 months ago and is now over halfway to her target of amassing £100,000 for the MND Scotland charity.
On Saturday she staged a fun day harking back to memories of her own childhood, and Garmouth villagers rallied round to boost her collection with a further £730.
She said: “When I was little I used to love doing scavenger hunts in the village but they haven’t had anything like that for years.
“It was one of my fondest childhood memories of Garmouth, and I hope I was able to make some new memories for the children who came along on Saturday.
“I never expected it to be as popular as it was, and I’m grateful to everyone who helped make it a success.”
The fundraiser was organised by Ms Lintott, her friends and family, and included an Easter egg trail for young children and an afternoon of activities in Garmouth village hall.
The event featured numerous craft stalls, a tombola, raffle, face painting and an Easter bonnet parade.
Last month Ms Lintott gave a talk at Elgin Youth Cafe during a week dedicated to celebrating inspirational individuals.
The fundraiser’s collection is now standing at £51,052.
