Experts on autism will gather in Moray next month for a major two-day conference.
Internationally-renowned authorities on the condition will hold a series of talks with local sufferers, parents, carers and volunteers.
The conference, hosted by Moray Council and NHS Grampian, will run on Thursday, June 11, at Elgin Town Hall and on Friday, June 12, at the town’s Eight Acres Hotel.
A spokesman for the event said: “Our goal is simple – acceptance of, understanding about and celebrating autism.
“Moray has an amazing opportunity with this event, as it has such an interesting programme.
“This is the first autism conference to be held here and we really hope this event will reach out to the whole of the north of Scotland and beyond.”
As well as doctors specialising in autism, author and TV personality Luke Jackson, who himself has the condition and narrates the BBC documentary My Family and Autism, will attend.
Stand-up comedian John Williams, who has an autistic son, will provide some light observations on living with the disorder.
Seminars over the two days will focus on a variety of autism-related topics.
Booking is essential as places at the conference are limited, and registration packs and further information are available by e-mailing autism@moray.gov.uk.
