A man was taken to hospital following an incident in Forres during the early hours.
He was found injured at about 4.10am in the North Road area, with emergency services attending the scene.
The area behind the community centre was cordoned off, as was the town’s police station on Victoria Road.
A window at the flats is smashed, with blood smeared outside the building.
Forensics were working outside the block of flats today as the investigation ramped up.
It is unknown what the extent of the injuries are.
However, officers have confirmed there were “no suspicious circumstances”.
A police spokesman said: “Around 4.10am on Friday, June 16 officers were called to a report of a man found injured on North Road, Forres.
“Emergency services attended and the man was taken to hospital. Inquiries were carried out and it was established there were no suspicious circumstances.”
