A96 blocked at Brodie after accident

One of the north’s busiest roads is currently blocked in Moray after an accident involving two cars.

The A96 Aberdeen-Inverness road has been reduced to one lane near the junction to Dyke and Kintessack.

The accident involved a black Audi estate car and a red Mini.

The road was initially blocked immediately after the accident which happened at around 8.30am.

The fire service, police and an ambulance are all at the scene.

A police spokeswoman said that nobody had been seriously injured but added that traffic was moving slowly in the area.

Both cars appear to have been written off.
