Police appeal after hit and run in Moray

Police are appealing for witnesses after a hit and run accident in Moray.

The collision – involving a car and a motorbike – happened at 11.30am on Wednesday on the A939 Tomintoul to Lecht road.

The motorist, who was behind the wheel of a small white car, drove off after hitting the bike.

Emergency services took the casualty to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary for treatment.

It is believed the car was following a small bus or coach which had orange lettering on the side.

Anyone who witnessed the accident or who has any information is asked to contact police on 101.
