A man was taken to hospital with suspected internal injuries after a crash on Moray’s busiest road.
He was hurt when his blue Fiat Punto left the A96 Elgin-Inverness route near Lhanbryde and careered into a field.
The accident happened about a mile east of the village near the turnoff to the Elgin Kart Raceway shortly before 8am yesterday.
The male driver was the sole occupant of the car.
The 22-year-old was able to crawl free from the vehicle but paramedics treated him at the scene for more than 15 minutes before he was taken to Dr Gray’s Hospital in Elgin complaining of internal stomach pains.
The road was not closed during the incident.
A police spokesman said: “”The 22-year-old male driver had no visible injuries, but complained of stomach pains.”
Meanwhile, police and an ambulance were called after a car and a motorbike collided in the centre of Buckie on Saturday night.
The accident happened shortly after 10pm in the town’s East Church Street and involved a Vauxhall Astra and a Suzuki GSX bike.
The motorcyclist was taken to Dr Gray’s to be treated for minor injuries.
The route from Cluny Square to March Road was closed until after 11.30pm while the vehicles were removed.
A police spokesman said: “Police were made aware of a crash between a Vauxhall Astra and a Suzuki GSX on East Church Street around 10:10pm on Saturday.
“The motorcyclist was taken to Dr Gray’s Hospital with minor injuries.
“The road was closed for an hour and a half for vehicle recovery.”
