The burgundy Toyota Land Cruiser 4×4 ended up on its roof at the side of the A96 Aberdeen to Inverness road at Burghead this morning. The accident happened around 8am. Paramedics were sent to the scene, but neither of the two men were taken to hospital. A police spokeswoman said they had been left “shaken up”. She added that officers believed the accident might have been caused when a lorry shed its load on the same stretch of road. The 4×4 landed on an embankment to the east side of the road. The windscreen was left smashed and the bodywork suffered extensive damage. The vehicle is awaiting recovery.
