A helicopter has joined the search for a “high risk” missing teenager in Moray. Police asked the Buckie lifeboat crew to scour the waters around Lossiemouth harbour in search of the young male. It is believed they are searching for a 15-year-old. Coastguard teams in Lossiemouth and Burghead have also been tasked with assisting the operation. The teams called in their helicopter in Inverness to join in the search with it arriving in the skies above Lossiemouth at around 10.30pm. Three vehicles are at the scene and with a lifeboat from Buckie searching the coastline. A spokesman for Aberdeen coastguard said: “We were asked by police to assist with the operation at 9.12pm. “Buckie lifeboat has been sent and land-based coastguard teams at Lossiemouth and Burghead are assiting.” A police spokesman said: “We are looking for a high risk missing person. “Sending lifeboats is a standard procedure in these circumstances.”
