Police have confirmed that a wounded motorcyclist who wandered away into the night after a crash on a Moray road has been traced.
Following an accident involving two motorbikes between Elgin and Lossiemouth yesterday evening one man was taken to Dr Gray’s Hospital to be treated.
However, another who was being treated at the scene for head injuries refused medical assistance and swiftly departed – sparking a search involving police and paramedics.
Police, who feared the man was suffering from a concussion, yesterday confirmed that he was tracked down “shortly after” disappearing.
A spokeswoman said: “The man was traced shortly after the incident, and did not need to be taken to hospital.
“Inquiries into the collision are ongoing.”
The crash occurred shortly after 5pm on the A941 Elgin to Coleburn road, towards Lossiemouth.
