A cyclist remains in a critical condition after being knocked off his bike in Elgin.
The man, who suffered serious head injuries, was taken to hospital after colliding with a car on the A96 Aberdeen to Inverness road at about 10.20am on Tuesday.
Police yesterday confirmed he remains in a critical condition, but said his injuries are not life-threatening.
A police spokeswoman added investigations into the incident were continuing.
The road was closed for four hours while collision inspectors examined the scene.
And yesterday, campaigners for the western link road said the congestion caused would have been alleviated by the presence of an extra crossing over the town’s railway line.
