Police are appealing for information after a boy tried to rob a woman in the north-east.
The boy was riding a bicycle in the New Elgin area of Elgin yesterday when he demanded money from a woman before riding off toward Edgar Road.
The attempt happened at around 6.20pm on the footpath beside The Wards, Elgin.
The boy is thought to have been around 15-years-old and is described white, slim build and was wearing dark clothing.
DC Amanda Campbell, who is investigating the crime, said: “We are keen to speak to anyone who was in The Wards or Edgar Road areas around the time of the crime.
“It is believed that there were runners in the area a short time prior to the incident and we would be keen to speak with them.
“Anyone with information is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101.”
