Police are hunting a bicycle-riding teenager who tried to rob a woman on a Moray footpath.
The incident happened at The Wards in Elgin.
The youth demanded money from the woman then fled in the direction of Edgar Road.
He described as being aged about 15, of slim build and was wearing dark clothing.
Detective Constable Amanda Campbell, who is investigating the incident, said: “We are keen to speak to anyone who was in The Wards or Edgar Road areas around the time of the crime.
“It is believed that there were runners in the area a short time prior to the incident and we would be keen to speak with them.”
The incident happened around 6.20pm on Thursday.
