A man has died after being hit by a car near Lossiemouth.
The pedestrian, aged 19, was knocked down on the A941, south of the Moray town, at around 1.45am.
Police investigating the crash closed off part of the road following the incident. Motorists were told to use the B9135 to travel between Elgin and Lossiemouth instead, however, the road re-opened at 8am this morning.
A police spokesman said: “Police Scotland can confirm that a collision investigation is ongoing following a serious road traffic collision on the A941 just south of Lossiemouth.”
Police are appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident or who saw a male walking along the road to contact them on 101.
