Police have renewed their appeal for witnesses after a man wearing a horror mask attempted to rob another in Moray.
An 18-year-old man was approached by a man wearing a “Scream” mask who tried to steal money and personal belongings at the Tyock Industrial Estate, Elgin, at around 10:45pm on Saturday, December 12.
The victim was uninjured but left shaken by the terrifying incident.
Following further inquiries, the man responsible has been described as being approximately 6ft tall, with a heavy build, and was wearing a navy or black hooded top with white ‘Reebok’ writing on it.
He spoke with a local accent.
Detective Inspector Norman Stevenson who is overseeing the investigation said: “We’ve spoken again with the victim and he has given us clear detail on what the man responsible had covered his face with.
“He’s also given us a good description of the clothing he has worn and what was written on the front. If anyone knows someone who fits the description and who may be responsible, I’d appeal for them to call us and provide their name.”
Anyone with information is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 if you wish to remain anonymous.
