Coastguard teams are working to rescue a man that has fallen into the River Findhorn, which runs through Moray.
Reports indicate that the man was kayaking along the expanse when his vessel capsized and left him in the water.
It is understood the man has been in the water for some time.
Police confirmed that officers at the scene are helping coastguard teams.
A police spokesman said: “We can confirm that we are in attendance after assistance was requested on the River Findhorn, with partner agencies including the coastguard and ambulance service.
“We can not confirm the man’s condition at this stage.”
