A 40-year-old man will appear in court today after a number of break-ins at commercial premises in a north-east town.
The break-ins occurred between December 17 and January 3 in Elgin.
The man is expected to appear at Elgin Sheriff Court later today
Sergeant Phil Wu said: “These crimes happened in the lead up to and over the festive period, which makes it all the more upsetting for the shop owners and staff, as they run small businesses and any loss hits them hard.
“We continue to tackle acquisitive crime and I would encourage anyone who witnesses suspicious activity to contact police with information, so we can help prevent this in the future.”
